Project417 is an outreach program of Ekklesia Inner City Ministries, a registered charity in Canada. Project417 exists to be the facilitator of holistic healing, personal development and spiritual growth within the Christian context to the homeless and socially isolated people living in poverty in the Greater Toronto Area. [click here for more] Our model is to engage volunteers and guide them in meaningful programs which meet the homeless where they live in the inner city - out on the street, in shelters or drop-ins and foodbanks. Homelessness and poverty diminish the health of our entire community. We all can play a role in rebuilding that community.
Hurricane Ike Relief Update - **Important News** Project417's next trip to respond to the devastation caused by Hurricane Ike will be to areas in Galveston County, Texas (Houston area) - San Leon and Galveston. Tentative dates are a ten to fourteen day trip between mid-November and end of January. We urgently require donations to help the people there re-build. Our team member Andy visited Texas on disaster relief duty September 26 to October 9th. Contact us here to join a disaster relief short-term mission. More details here...Please donate today!
