Project417 is an outreach of Ekklesia Inner City Ministries, a registered charity in Canada with programs in the Toronto Area, across Canada and the U.S. [click here for more] We engage volunteers and guide them in meaningful programs which meet the homeless where they live - out on the street, in shelters or drop-ins and food banks. Homelessness and poverty affect us all. We all must play a role in rebuilding our communities. Check the menu links on the left to find out more.
Volunteer Watch - Hurricane Ike and Hurricane Katrina Recovery efforts. Looking to organize a volunteer team to take part in re-building and renovating homes damaged in the Gulf Coast Hurricanes. Recovery continues for the victims of the storm. Two locations need our help: Louisiana, New Orleans, Lower 9th Ward and Texas, Galveston County, San Leon

Project417 continues to partner with the Bloor Lansdowne Christian Fellowship (BLCF) Church who are hosting a Community Dinner to reach those in need. The program began Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 and continues to run every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8PM hosting more than sixty area residents living in poverty. VOLUNTEERS needed.[click here for more](phone 416-535-9578) BLCF is located at 1307 Bloor Street West, in downtown Toronto, just 1/2 block WEST of Bloor and Lansdowne on the south side. Parking available on St. Helens Ave or the Value Village parking lot.
